His appointment reflects VBA’s continued investment in operational excellence and its focus on scaling the organization to support long-term growth and evolving customer needs.
Rick brings deep expertise in healthcare technology, claims operations, and product leadership. He most recently served as General Manager of In-Network Products at Zelis, where he held full P and L responsibility for the Payer Compass product lines following its acquisition in 2022. Prior to the acquisition, Rick served as Chief Operating Officer at Payer Compass, where he spent over a decade leading claims operations with a focus on reimbursement accuracy and editing. His background also includes leadership roles at MedAssets and Medicity.
