Matt Salerno, VBA software architect and resident AI expert, is featured in an article entitled “Elation and Fear Over AI” in the October 2023 Self-Insurer magazine. The article offers a balanced perspective on the benefits and pitfalls of artificial intelligence for healthcare payers.
Adoption of this technology is considered necessary for success, according to Matt. “The integration of traditional machine learning and generative AI within the health care and TPA space will become not just a value-add but a necessity,” he believes. “Those that adopt it will succeed and thrive, while those that do not will fail or be acquired for their book of business.”
The article also features real-life use cases for artificial intelligence from other industry experts, including VBA client Michelle Bounce of J.P. Farley Corporation, a well-regarded TPA located in Westlake, OH.
Matt will also be sharing his perspectives on AI, along with other industry experts, at the SIIA 2023 Connect Conference as part of the “Artificially Intelligent TPA” panel on Tuesday, October 10 at 10:15 AM in the Grand Sonoran Ballroom E.
